The Henry’s Fork is a legendary river running from the Island Park Caldera through Harriman State Park (‘The Ranch’) and down into the farm lands of Idaho where it later merges with the South Fork of the Snake. Our Trouthunter guides generally focus on nine sections of the Henry’s Fork and they know where and how to get these monster trout in the net.

Mexico

February 4-11, 2023

Finatical Flyfishing is excited to host a women’s saltwater flyfishing trip at Kay Fly Fishing Lodge with Lily Bertrum and Jose Ucan.  Their lodge is located in Punta Allen, within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere on the edge of the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. We’ll be targeting Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, and Snook. Jacks, Barracuda, Snapper and other species are also cruising the flats. The migratory Tarpon are not in the area at this time but Lily reports solid numbers of the ‘big 3’, (Tarpon, Permit and Bones) are in the area for those who are looking for an opportunity to slam. If you are new to saltwater this is a great trip -boats go out with two guides so each angler has plenty of assistance!

Argentina

Your Northern Patagonia fishing trip will begin at Rinconada Lodge –a remote location offering access to great rivers including the Chimehuin, Malleo, Collon Cura, Quilquihue, Catan lil, Filo Hua Hum, Limay and Alumine. With so much water to choose from we will spend four nights and three days fishing here. On the fourth day we will fish our way to the Estancia Quemquemtreu. At over 100 years old, this Estancia encompasses close to 200,000 acres and a total of more than 5,000 head of Hereford cattle. It also offers more than 30 miles of private access to the the Collon Cura river, 15 miles of private access to Quemquemtreu Creek and the option of floating the last few miles of the Caleufu. Fishing options are endless and we’ll likely be into prime summer hatches to include Mayflies, Stoneflies and the Willow Worm Hatch.
