Additional Henry's Fork Dates and Winter Opportunities

Henry's Fork Women's Trip -Additional Dates Added
August 3-7, 2023

The July 2023 Henry's Fork trip filled quickly and there are quite a few more ladies interested in fishing these bucket list waters. So, August dates have been added.... chasing the same famous trout the Henry's Fork is known for. August is great for terrestials and Flavs, Caddis and Tricos. Wildflowers, Bald eagle, Osprey, Moose, and potentially bear and other critters will be out as well.

We will meet at our private cabin on the 3rd at 4:30 PM to enjoy happy hour, the latest fishing reports and dinner together. We'll prepare for three days of fishing with TroutHunter guides with your goals in mind. Be it 'the Ranch" or other goals.... this trip is about you and what you want to accomplish!  Four nights of lodging, three days of guided fishing, all meals and beer and wine are included. Single Occupancy $2,999 or Double at $2,699. These dates will fill quickly too!

Ascension Bay, Mexico
February 4-11, 2023
Women's Trip Hosted by 2 Women Owned Businesses
10 Rods Total, 2 Rods Currently Available

Kay Fly Fishing Lodge is located in Punta Allen, within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere on the edge of the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. We’ll be targeting Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, and Snook. Jacks, Barracuda, Snapper and other species are also cruising the flats. Lily Bertrum (lodge owner) reports solid numbers of the ‘big 3’, (Tarpon, Permit and Bones) are in the area for those who are looking to 'slam'. If you are new to saltwater there are plenty of opportunities to catch fish!

Boats go out most days with both a head guide and an apprentice guide (with two anglers) making this a great trip for anglers of all levels. Most of Kay Fly’s guides have been with them over 10 years -all over 5 years. The Sian Ka’an Biosphere offers the chance to see 325 species of birds, four species of turtles, dolphins, manatee’s and an abundance of other wildlife. New anglers will have plenty of shots to land fish, as many species are plentiful. Particularly Bonefish, ‘the ghost of the flats’. 7 Nights, 6 days guided fishing....$3,999 Double Occupancy

Bahamas! Mangrove Cay Club, March 1-7, 2023
The flats surrounding Andros Island are some of the best bonefishing in the world. The fish are plentiful and average 3 to 5 pounds with regular appearances of 6 to 10 pound fish. Several 11, 12 and 13 pound fish are landed every season. In fact, some of the largest fish have been taken within sight of the lodge. You’ll have plenty of shots whether you are new to saltwater or an expert. Beginners will be able to land their first bone and chase the big ones. Advanced anglers can target the big bones you won't find in other destinations. Regardless, if you have not fished the Bahamas, it is something that should be on your bucket list. Big bonefish are next level!

If you don't get enough fishing in on the flats during the day, further adventure awaits from the dock at the lodge. Shark visit the area frequently (encouraged by a bit of chumming from the lodge). Bulls, blacktip, lemon and nurse sharks frequently cruise by. The lodge will have spinning gear ready for some evening entertainment with sharks or other species if you are so inclined. You can also relax on the edge of the water or by the pool with your beverage and take in the ocean breezes and views.

We have a fantastic group of ladies signed up for this trip -most of whom have participated in Finatical Flyfishing trips and events previously. All levels of anglers are welcome. As this group is filling right up we added a couple of more spots. Join us to meet a wonderful group and have a great time 'on the salt'!

Argentina January 7-14, 2023 -1 Spot -Last Minute Opening

Your Patagonia fishing trip will begin at El Encuentro lodge on the banks of the Rio Futaleufu (also referred to as the Rio Grande) situated at the base of the Andes. Anglers will have their choice to float the big waters of the Futaleufu that holds healthy rainbow and brown trout, or they may walk wade streams, spring creeks and private lakes in the area. There is also fishing just out the backdoor of the lodge, and anglers returning from a day of fishing can take advantage of the late evening hatch.

El Encuentro guides know all the various side channels and locations of deep pools that hold fish; they know where to encourage guests to wade fish and how to best reach large browns under hidden banks.

The El Encuentro lodge has been owned and operated by the Beale family for more than 30 years. We’ll experience Argentine culture with local wines offered daily at lunch and dinner, lamb and beef from local family markets, organic vegetables from their gardens and eggs from their own chickens. We’ll savor the authentic flavors of a traditional ‘Asado’ (Argentine BBQ) on the banks of the lovely Rio Futaleufu.

After fishing four days from the main lodge we will fish our way down to ‘Brook Trout Base Camp’ on the banks of the Rio Corcovado. There we can enjoy three nights of ’glamping’ in tents modeled after traditional African Safari camps. We have two full days to explore this remote area with our guides. Cast to beautiful pools of the Rio Corcovado or from the wild shores of Lago Vintter for large rainbows. Stalk trophy brook trout in the nearby Engano basin or sample private spring creeks or lakes for rainbow and browns in the Rio Pico area. Patagonia is famous for its very productive lakes that offer trophy trout. Throwing a damselfly out to entice these large fish makes for exciting takes and hook-ups!

This trip is designed to offer great fishing, scenery, local color and an authentic Argentine experience.
