Mexico Trip Report
Kay Fly Fishing Lodge in Mexico proved to be nothing short of fabulous. The guide team is lead by Jose Ucan (who has placed in the March Merkin and Del Brown tournaments). We all agreed, this is a talented group of guides who go to great lengths to put you on a fish, teach additional skills and make sure you are having a great day on the water. The food was wonderful too; mole, fresh fish, shrimp, empanadas, fresh fruit and juice every morning. Lily and Jose run a family oriented operation and are there from breakfast to dinner to make sure it all goes well. 

We had two anglers with Tarpon, Snook, Bones and near misses on Permit in the same day. (Those sneaky Jacks did not help!) One Permit landed and many other great Permit shots and stories. New friendships were made and many reunited. We all learned from one another as well as the Kay Fly family.  Thank you to the Kay Fly family and the ten wonderful women who made this week possible. We are planning next year....February 3-10, 2024. 6 rods open. (10 total)

Green River, Wyoming

We had a great time last year and added more space for this year. If you have not been to this well kept flyfishing secret near Pinedale, WY.... now is your chance! Far less pressure than some of the 'bucket list' waters and great dry fly action.  We’ll have access to some incredible fishing where big browns and rainbows are taking the food in. Golden Stones, Salmon Fly's, PMD’s, and Gray Drakes! There are plenty of moose, deer, and great bird watching as you float each day. You’ll find large numbers of fish 16”-20” and the 20”+ fish are not unusual on the Green. This is prime time to be on this stretch of river!

This is a great trip for anglers of all levels. Most of the water is less technical than many bucket list trips you might sign up for. While the experts love this hidden gem because of the numbers and sizes of fish, you don't have to be an expert to fish here. We have two ladies guiding on this trip...Rusti Christensen and Shelbi McNiel as well as other fine gentlemen and shop owner Eric Oram. Silver Creek, Wood and Salmon Rivers
September 15-19, 2023
Spend two days walk wading Silver Creek, the Wood River, Copper Basin or many of the other local watersheds. We'll also float one day on the Salmon river. All of this water is spectacular in the fall with beautiful colors and many options to choose from in the Wood River Valley. We had a wide variety of skill levels on the September 2022 trip and all of them landed a ton of fish and had a great time together. All levels of angler are welcome.

A group of talented guides have been booked to include Amanda Bauman, Julie Meissner and Jill Clark. (Check out their bios on the Finatical Flyfishing trip page.) We will also have a couple of gentlemen from Silver Creek Outfitters helping.  Guides and fishing partners are rotated each day and you will be paired with someone from our group who best matches your skill level. Lodging is on the Elkhorn golf course in private condos. Breakfasts and dinners are catered by a local favorite and lunches are packed for you each day.  All meals and beer or wine are included with dinner. $3,399 single occupancy or $3,199 double occupancy
