Green River (2026) Trip Report We had two great groups on the Green River trip this year. The first group returned together from last years introductions to continue landing big fish and resume corn hole competitions. The weather was perfect, the fish were fiesty and the corn hole competition was again fierce. We had one fish over 24" and this skilled group of anglers had several between 22 and 24". Too many fish landed over 18" to count! Browns and Rainbows treated these ladies well.
The second group followed with our Casting For Recovery trip winner joining the team. Unfortunatly mother nature sent a cold snap with chilly winds and precipitation that changed the tone. That said, we still had plenty of solid fish landed and perserverence was demonstrated by many in the group. Our Casting For Revoery trip winner had a tough introduction to Wyoming winds but she and her guide worked hard on casting skills in the wind and caught a beauty day one. Be sure to check out the video on our Instagram. It was an awesome celebration to watch!
Regardless of perfect weather or challenging weather, watching people work hard and succeed in life is something special. A big congratulations to those ladies working hard for the challenging big fish mentioned above -and all of the fish landed. Watching success happen, new friendships form and flyfishing skills develop is a gift. A big thank you to all who came out, our hard working guides and others who support this trip every year. |

Mexico 2027
If you love the salt or have always wanted to expand your flyfishing game into saltwater species, now is your chance!
Ascension Bay offers fantastic opportunities for Permit, Tarpon, Snook, Cuda, Jacks and more. Kay Fly Fishing Lodge (in Punta Allen) sends anglers out with two (awesome) guides per boat each day giving you an extra set of eyes to spot fish, help managing rods, your lines, flies and more if you are new to saltwater.
Recent groups have included a few first permit each week -along with the obligatory first scorpion party. Joan followed her first permit with a Tarpon and Bonefish for her first slam in 2025. Kay Fly is one of those special, down to earth, fishy places you should experience. Great team, the best guides, authentic food and beach front. Breakfast options include eggs, meats, fruit and the traditional Huevos Rancheros. Your lunch includes sandwiches, chips, fruit and plenty of water, sodas or a couple of beers. Local chefs strive to offer seafood or Mexican dinners that will allow you to experience authentic flavors while you are in Mexico.
The Sian Ka’an Biosphere offers the chance to see 325 species of birds, four species of turtles, dolphins, manatee’s and an abundance of other wildlife. New anglers will have plenty of shots to land fish, as many species are plentiful
We've got a few spots left in various groups in 2027. Please reach out if you are interested!

Blackfoot River, Montana June 2-6, 2027 Couples/Mixed Trip June 6-10, 2027 Women's Trip
These are prime Salmon Fly dates! June 1 brought the arrival of Salmon Flies in 2025 and full fish bellies indicated the fish had been eating nymphs on the same schedule when we were there in early June this year. With average flows and average temperatures in mind, we believe these dates will be fantastic!
Fly fishing on the Blackfoot inspired Norman Maclean's acclaimed book: A River Runs Through It. The Blackfoot River and surrounding valley are breathtakingly beautiful; under developed & remote. We'll be based on the North Fork of the Blackfoot and spend four nights 'glamping' and three days fishing with the same guides we enjoyed this year. You will have many opportunities to fish for rainbows, browns, and the beautiful native westslope cutthroats. Fish average around sixteen inches but there are certainly larger fish in the river. There are also a few Bull Trout who have been known to find lunch via the smaller fish that may hit your line. Not an every day occurrence but certainly something to keep you on your toes.

Whether you’re chasing giant trout in Patagonia, bonefish on tropical flats, or remote saltwater species halfway around the world, we’d love the opportunity to help make your next flyfishing adventure a reality.
Don't take our word for it, hear it from a recent customer who did just that:
“I knew I wanted to fly fish in Argentina but hadn’t traveled out of the country for 30+ years. I was intimidated to do the trip as I had no idea where to start, but Steph made it so easy for me and my son to take the adventure. She helped us by giving a variety of lodges to consider and pointed out the differences of each one. She connected us with trusted local transportation and a city guide that could answer any and all of our questions as we traveled through Buenos Aires. She was available throughout our travels and offered valuable advice when it came to local customs, international travel, dining, shopping and tipping for the guides and lodging staff. Her attention to detail and ability to answer all my questions allowed me to relax and enjoy the trip. Most importantly, my son and I had the trip of a lifetime. I plan on using Steph exclusively in the future for any fishing trips.” - Hillary D. |
