Blackfoot River, Montana June 2-6, 2027 Couples/Mixed Trip June 6-10, 2027 Women's Trip
We had a wonderful group on the Blackfoot this year. Although mother nature played hardball with high water and a few rain showers in the mix, we still had a fantastic time. The Salmon flies were definitely in full swing and we had some nice browns and rainbows feasting on nymphs and dries. With plenty of water to spread out on we rarely saw other boats. Evenings were spent around a campfire swapping stories (when weather allowed) or in the main lodge and bar for a warm and cozy setting.
2027 Trip In 2027 we will host both a women's trip and a mixed/couples trip on the Blackfoot during Salmon Fly season. June 1 brought the arrival of Salmon Flies in 2025 and full fish bellies indicated the fish had been eating nymphs on the same schedule this year. With average flows and average temperatures in mind, we believe these dates will be fantastic!
Fly fishing on the Blackfoot inspired Norman Maclean's acclaimed book: A River Runs Through It. The Blackfoot River and surrounding valley are breathtakingly beautiful; under developed & remote. We'll be based on the North Fork of the Blackfoot and spend four nights 'glamping' and three days fishing with the same guides we enjoyed this year. You will have many opportunities to fish for rainbows, browns, and the beautiful native westslope cutthroats. Fish average around sixteen inches but there are certainly larger fish in the river. There are also a few Bull Trout who have been known to find lunch via the smaller fish that may hit your line. Not an every day occurrence but certainly something to keep you on your toes.

Alaska July 11-17, 2027 -Now Open July 18-24, 2027 Sold Out
Hold your Spot with a Reduced Deposit! Copper River Lodge offers an incredible Alaskan experience and is based on the Copper River near Pope Vannoy landing. There is only one permit to fish on the native owned Copper River and this lodge shares it with one other lodge. The limited access allows Copper River Lodge to leave jet boats on the upper Copper and access water that very few people fish. In addition, the lodge also fishes the several other waters within a 30 minute flight of the lodge. Most days, especially those on the Copper, are spent wading and not fishing from a boat. Boats are primarily used for transport to the desired fishing locations.
Six days of fishing include at least 3-4 days of fly out options. There are also a multitude of options out the back door on the Copper River and other rivers close to the lodge. July is prime time for trout and Sockeye Salmon with dry droppers, mice, and some streamers. There are also options for Grayling, Northern Pike and possibly Lake Trout. The lodge has a float plane, a lake boat, several jet boats and rafts all of which will give our small group plenty of options each day. |

Don't take our word for it, hear it from a recent customer who did just that:
“I knew I wanted to fly fish in Argentina but hadn’t traveled out of the country for 30+ years. I was intimidated to do the trip as I had no idea where to start, but Steph made it so easy for me and my son to take the adventure. She helped us by giving a variety of lodges to consider and pointed out the differences of each one. She connected us with trusted local transportation and a city guide that could answer any and all of our questions as we traveled through Buenos Aires. She was available throughout our travels and offered valuable advice when it came to local customs, international travel, dining, shopping and tipping for the guides and lodging staff. Her attention to detail and ability to answer all my questions allowed me to relax and enjoy the trip. Most importantly, my son and I had the trip of a lifetime. I plan on using Steph exclusively in the future for any fishing trips.” - Hillary D. |
