Henry's Fork Couples Trip August 18-22, 2025
You've been asking for it.... another Henry's Fork Couples Trip is on the books!
The Henry’s Fork is a bucket list river and we’ll spend three days fishing the heart of it from Island Park, Idaho. Our guides focus on nine sections of the Henry’s Fork including the section known world-wide as ’The Ranch’. This beautiful technical water will be on the option list as well as many less technical stretches.
Terrestrials of all kinds, trico and other spinners are abundant and the flav’s may still be hanging on too. Other great area water includes the Madison River or you can fish Hebgen and Quake Lake for ‘gulpers’. These clear and beautiful lakes are a fun way to watch rising fish coming up for Callibaetis or other large bugs.
August is beautiful time on the Henry’s Fork. The geese are starting to move back in and the crisp fall mornings are peaceful and beautiful. Generally there are still some wildflowers along the river, eagles and osprey make regular appearances and river sightings can include moose, deer, elk and bear!
Our lodging will include private bathrooms attached to your bedroom. Two of the bedrooms have two beds in them so they are ideal for father / son or other family / friend combinations. There are multiple family rooms, a theatre room, an outdoor firepit and hot tub and plenty of space to share breakfast and dinners with the group.
As you return from the river each day, we'll have appetizers and beer/wine avialable. Wander out on the patio or private docks on Island Park Reservior while swapping fish stories. Dinners and breakfasts are catered in with the group and lunch is on the river. Relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and get to know some new fishy friends. |

New Dates Announced! March 9-15, 2026 Bahamas Women's Trip
You asked..... it's back on the books! Women's Bahamas trip is now open.......
Bonefish are one of the most fun saltwater targets you can find. Watching them eat and hearing your reel sing will quickly raise your flyfishing addiction level! The flats surrounding Andros Island are some of the best bone fishing in the world. The fish are plentiful and average 3 to 5 pounds with regular appearances of fish 6 to 10 pounds. Several 11, 12 and 13 pound fish are landed every season; many within view of the lodge. If you have never done a saltwater trip these plentiful flats are a great place to start. If you are a veteran, hunting larger bonefish in these legendary waters will take you to the next level.
Double occupancy accommodations include a spacious room with sitting area and large bathroom which opens to your own patio overlooking the ocean. Their culinary team prepares seafood caught daily and offers a wide variety of options for every meal. Fresh roasted coffee and tea are delivered to your door each morning. A multitude of hot and cold breakfast options await your custom order.
You’ll load your boat each morning from the dock outside our bungalows. Mangrove Cay Club is located on the north shore of Mangrove Cay. This location was chosen for the lodge to allow access to mile after mile of prime bonefish water without ever having to trailer a boat or take a rough boat ride in the open ocean. Walk out of the lodge, load your flats boat and you’ll have access to all of the waters of the Bights, the eastern flats and the remote and legendary West Side. This location is prime because of the way the tides fall. When the tide is high on the west side, it is low on the east side; meaning you always have prime fishing!
In addition to plentiful big bonefish, the fishing action doesn't end there. Many an angler has landed a few sharks in the evening off the dock at Mangrove Cay Club. Black tip, lemon, nurse and bull sharks frequent the area and the lodge staff is quite skilled at rigging up a spinning rod or two to help us land a few of these guys. You can enjoy shark fishing with a cocktail or watch the views of other anglers from the deck and enjoy appetizers, ocean views and relaxation at its finest!
Reserve now under the Finatical Flyfishing booking promo. $1,000 to hold your space, additional $2,500 due by June 1. Click below for complete details! |

Big Horn Women's Trip May 10-14, 2025 May 14-18, 2025
Are you itching for summer fishing every year? Thermopolis, Wyoming and the Big Horn river are another hidden gem. When other locations are still looking at run off and snow, average temps in May are 71. Historically speaking, this tailwater (below Boysen reservoir) offers some great nymph and streamer fishing in the morning and dry fly fishing in the afternoon during mid-May. The browns, rainbows and cutthroat average 16-19” and the red rocks along the river are a beautiful back drop.
Join us for four nights lodging, three days of guided fishing, all meals and beer/wine with dinner. Single and double occupancy avaialble. Arrive in Thermopolis in time for dinner with the group on the first day and we’ll have the recent fishing reports in hand, and our plans to share with you over happy hour cocktails. Our lodging will be in two homes along the river. Sit on the deck, partake in the hot tub, venture over to the local hot springs or do some walking through this small town before or after the fishing. |
